In 2017-2018 the Bcademie had 4 teams, run by 4 different duo's. check out the links to their pages and their team.

Find all about team AED, run by Alex Jacobs and Daan den Houter. Daan and Alex are both artists working in different media and with different concepts. Daan den Houter (NL, 1977) is a multidisciplinary artist that works and lives in Rotterdam. His works explore the way we adapt and look at the (art-) world and generate perspective changes on most common, daily stuff.. Alex Jacobs (1973) started his practice as a sculptor working mainly in colored plaster. Since 2007 he is part of the artist duo V&B (Alex Jacobs en Ellemieke Schoenmaker) working in all media.

Find all about team Wandschappen. As visual artists Nicole Driessens en Ivo van den Baar WANDSCHAPPEN concentrate on being part of and assimilating their environment by collecting, selecting, creating and showing works as parts of this environment that reveals how they and other people are connected with it. The concepts can either be transformed into autonomous artworks or into design items.

Find all about team Maarten&RalphMaarten Bel and Ralph de Jongh are visual artists from Rotterdam and Haarlem. Both artists have already done various projects throughout the Netherlands and abroad. Both practices characterize themselves with a playful starting point.

Maarten Bel is a visual artist living and working in Rotterdam. Bel makes performances, drawings, educational projects, books, installations and videos. Often the work is a humorous and frivolous character that examines the commonplace. His work has been shown in the Boijmans van Beuningen and Tent, both in Rotterdam and the Parade (traveling theater festival). He is currently working on education projects for the NTR (School TV) and This Art Fair in Amsterdam.

Ralph de Jongh graduated in 2012 at the Aki Enschede, studied at the contextual art and practice department and the painting department. He works with all kinds of materials including: plaster, ceramics and other materials that are often used for sculpture but his final result is in direct contact with painting. This year he received a young talent scholarship from the Mondriaan Fund. Past exhibitions included the initiative Suns and Stars from Amsterdam, Nieuwe Vide in Haarlem, Caesuur in Middelburg, Re-Rotterdam and Moira in Utrecht. Now he is preparing a solo for Zoete broodjes in Amsterdam. Together with Marianne Hamersma and Manique Hendricks he co-owns an initiative called Sugar Pop Institute.

Find all about team V&B (Alex Jacobs en Ellemieke Schoenmaker), an artist duo founded in Los Angeles in 2007. In their paintings, sculptures and installations they often comment on the (art)world with some form of self-mockery. Their work combines historic references with borrowed elements from the media and popular culture. Both spontaneous inspiration as critical interest reveal unexpected combinations that invite the viewer to search for commonly missed connotations.
